Manyara is small enough to do properly in a day and different enough from everywhere else on the circuit to be worth the trip. The groundwater forest at the entrance, fed by springs off the escarpment, full of fig and mahogany, loud with baboon, looks nothing like the savanna most people picture.

We add the treetop canopy walkway, which is the only one of its kind in northern Tanzania.
